Cinnamon Apple Cake


Ingredients Apple mix:


X3 Apples Peeled and diced 23g sugar 2.5 ml cinnamon Cake: 180g flour 100g caster sugar 10 ml baking powder 150 ml milk 1 egg 55g butter 30 ml orange zest 125 ml roasted mixed nuts



Cinnamon swirl:

60g butter (melted)

75g brown sugar

5 ml cinnamon

Glaze:

100g icing sugar

20 ml milk


Method:

Cake mix:

1. Mix all the dry ingredients together

2. Mix all the wet ingredients together.

3. Fold wet into dry ingredients. Add nuts and orange zest.

4. Apple mix:

5. Peel apples and dice into blocks. (small to medium)

6. Add sugar and cinnamon.

7. Cinnamon swill:

8. Melt butter , add sugar and cinnamon

9. Assembling for baking:

10. Layers, at the bottom of baking tray pour cake mix first(not all batter), then add apples(1/2 mix) then add cinnamon swirl.

11. Repeat layers

12. Bake at 170C for 30-35 min/ golden brown.


13. While baking, make glaze:

14. Mix tighter milk and icing sugar till smooth.

15. Pour over cake, while hot out of the oven.
