Makes 50 biscuits
Ingredients
125 g butter
250ml sugar
2 ml vanilla essence
1 egg, beaten
625ml cake flour
10ml baking powder
2,5ml salt
25ml water or milk
Method
1. Cream Sugar & Butter, Add vanilla, milk & egg and mix well.
2. Sieve dry ingredients into egg mixture.
3. Mix it all into dough and let rest for an hour.
4. Roll onto a floured surface and cut with various cookie cutters
5. Bake in a hot oven 200°C for ±8 minutes. Lift from tray and let cool completely.
Variations:
• Orange cookies: replace milk with 12.5ml orange juice and add zest of ½ orange.
• Chocolate cookies: replace 50ml flour with coco-powder
